When I began building my career coaching practice money was tight which also meant I could no longer buy my children’s love; something I’d grown accustomed to in my corporate life.
Corporate me would come home from a business trip with toys and trinkets hoping they would make up for my absence.
In my new life money wasn’t going to be as abundant, how would I show my children I loved them? (this is an actual thought I had!!)
I now realize money was the black sheep. I was letting it bring disgrace to my family because I was using it wrong.
As the old saying goes “the best things in life are free” and I couldn’t agree more when it comes to time spent with my children.
Simply talking about their days and going for walks has created a much stronger bond between my children and me than any airport toy ever could.
